He's a great kid, and a great story. But you have to worry about him overcompensating with his head/helmet, both from a injury standpoint, and drawing penalties. The new rules aren't doing him any favors.

I wouldn't mind having him on the Eagles, but not for a 4th. The fact that Kendricks survived another draft and will be on the team again makes it unlikely anyway.

Hes going to play DE in the 4-3. Hes an absolute athletic freak. 5 star recruit coming out of high school but has a bad knee injury history. Had an injury in highschool and tore his ACL, MCL, PCL in one play at FSU and they thought he might have artery damage. Im sure the Eagles medical staff did their homework, Sweat could have easily been a first round pick if he stayed healthy. Huge upside but pretty small risk given we spent a late 4th on him.

Love have the luxury of risking a 4th on massive upside while everyone else is looking for special teamers. It's good to be the champs.

me too. imo DE was the need that no one was talking about. he'll be in a great situation for the next year or two - just rush the passer and learn from the older guys.
