  • I love Clement but he's not very good

3rd back and an ST contributor on a stacked team, great.

As much as I hated that screen in the moment, a capable back cuts that to the inside and sets up his blockers. He doesn't run outside of both OL to where the defender is. Dude has no vision. The first down was there.

RB could be the least important position in football, but ours are just too pathetic this year. All three guys would be on the roster bubble for most teams. The fact that they could use Sproles blows my mind.

They should draft LT in round 1, and RB in round 2 in 2019.

Watch the play again ... he had no chance to cut that back.

Vander Esch was shadowing Clement ... ran right at him and was actually blocked into him on the outside where he made the tackle ... two other defenders were unblocked pursuing behind the play back to the inside and if Clement did what you suggest he could have done, he'd have been hammered by two guys.

It was a shit call ... Dallas played it like they knew it was coming.

So last year you are screaming for Clement and how great he is, this year he has been playing through injury and now he is a 3rd back and ST, way to jump ship.

I thought the same thing. Why did he run outside the blockers????

That's how I feel about most of the team. Kinda like I feel about Wontz. We Wontz win with him.

Clement catches the ball at 12:15. He runs 1 yard upfield. He then tries to bounce it outside. Maybe it wouldn't have been an easy first down if he'd just kept running straight, but he would have kept his momentum and he wouldn't have been running to where it was impossible for anyone to block Vander Esch.

You're possibly the best troll on the board, but I've never screamed for Clement.

You are absolutely right. And I thought the same thing last night. He should have scooted straight off the the butts of the two linemen.

How is this Doug's fault that his back makes dumb decision?

because the coach has to know his personnel, and if he's in 4-down territory anyway then he should call something else on 3rd down.

Well, I don't want to come off as a Doug defender. But in this one instance, this could have been either a 1st down or 4th and short.
