    And that’s without having a real closer...incredible!!

They don’t score enough runs, so that’s a good thing.

The Phillies have scored the fourth most runs in the NL.

          they really haven't had many

That Miami drubbing and the San Fran series, really.

However, if you're watching, they're very streaky and have struggled to score at times. Hoskins is in a total funk. Kingery needs work. Alfaro is looking better, but is mediocre at best offensively. Santana is only getting hot now. Cesar and herrera have been total studs throughout

I'm curious what moves they make at the deadline. With so many young players everywhere, spending prospects to replace one probably means that player is gone long-term.

They have a closer in Dominguez. He's raw but he looks like he has all the tools to be a good one. Time to put him in and see how he does.

they're already doing that. It's 2018 - your best reliever isn't your closer, it's the one you use in high leverage situations like Seranthony last night.

That's the case for all ball clubs. We only notice it with the Phillies because they are the only team we follow closely.

With that said, I agree that the line-up has not reached its potential yet.

From Matt Winkelman who has a blog on the Phils minor league system:

                  Ben Lively - 23.2 IP 6.85 ERA
Other Phillies SP - 238 IP 2.91 ERA
