  • Hicks loss is worse

There are things that can be done with the OL, but WTF can be done at LB? The depth was weak to begin with considering Hicks' injury history and Kendricks being pissy (and hurt almost as much). I was hoping they'd take a run at Bowman before Hicks went down, but...

By the way, someone needs to give Joe Walker a map so he can find the field. Talk about LOST!

Fortunately, Kendricks IS the replacement. They run 2 LBs and an extra DB like 60-70% of the time anyway, so there is some margin for error. Obviously, they'll lean of Goode, which isn't idea, but if Kendricks is healthy, it's survivable.

Someone with the inclination to run the shit out of the ball will (or should) force them to go with 3 LBs. The middle looked BAD last night once Hicks went out. With Hicks out, does that mean Jenkins will have to set the WHOLE D and, if so, have we seen that before?

You are dead wrong. The middle looked bad, as you say, because Schwartz was giving up the middle of the field more since the Eagles were holding a lead.

The LT is the second most important position in football. He protects the most important player on a football team and, on this team, that player is a superstar. Jason Peters handles pass rushers by himself all game long.

Without Peters the Eagles will have to adjust their offense to help Big V. That will mean more two TE sets and less passing to the backs because they are helping more in the blocking scheme. They will do this because they need to protect Wentz as they can not win without him.

They can win without Jordan Hicks. The defensive scheme does not change without Hicks and the run defense will remain stout with Cox, Jernigan and Allen clogging up the middle.

The luxury of never having to help the LT is immeasurable.

This is entirely correct. I don't think they have any choice but to move Lane over to LT.

This is one of the biggest issues IMO

Hicks was not only a leader but he set the D, made the calls, and audibled when it was needed. We already know Kendricks isn't a "cerebral" player. Does Bradham step up to that role? Corey Graham will definitely be on the field a lot more.

Not gonna happen mid season. If he moves, it'll be next year. Assuming that STILL is the plan.

Johnson explained why he won’t be moving to LT. Most teams have their best pass rusher on the right side of the offense. Of course someone like Von Miller can move all over the place. But thus far when he’s had to play, Vitai hasn’t been a disaster. I look for them to take a look at the Packers’ Don Barclay, who was released from IR today.
