      Repeat after me:

Lurie said that Howlo has final say in the draft war room
John Erlichman, one of President Richard Nixon's closest aides, has admitted America's "War on Drugs" was a hoax designed to vilify and disrupt "the antiwar left and black people" when it was launched in 1971.

Surprised nobody posted this earlier (or maybe I missed it). I shuttered when I read that. Granted, Douglas is running the board, so at least in theory, Howie's selection should be based on Douglas's work. That's what we have to hang out hat on.

          Rubber now meets the road

          Pudding and proof.
          Shit while on the pot.
If he takes another Marcus Smiff with the first pick, Jeffrey needs to send Howie back to the basement.
I think that what scares me the most is that he is supposed to put his stamp on the identity of the Iggles. What will that identity be?

If he's smart (and not an egomaniac) he listens to Douglas. If Douglas nails it, Howie is still the GM and gets a lot of the credit. If Douglas blows it, Howie has a scapegoat if he wants to go that route. The only incentive for him not to take the advice of a proven talent-guy is to show everyone that "I am a football guy, dammit!"

So the offset language incentivizes the player and his new team to pay him as little as possible. Brilliant.

It was a shitty contract. However, having Foles for only an extra two million is a win for Iggle fans.

                  I really think he's changed
